With his first feature movie, “Nina” (2004), Heitor Dhalia won a special mention of the critics in the Moscow Festival and the photography award of the Latin American Cinema Festival of Lima. In 2006, he directed “O Cheiro do Ralo” (The Smell of the Rasper”, which joined the official selection of the Sundance Festival; he won the special award of the jury, the critics award and best actor in Rio Festival; he won the “Bandeira Paulista” trophy of the international jury in the 30rd International São Paulo Festival.

With “À deriva” (At drift), he joined the festival Un Certain Regard of the Cannes 2009 Festival. Heitor has just directed the Hollywood production “Gone”, starred by Amanda Seyfried. His next national feature movie will be “Serra Pelada”, an epical about the relation of 2 friends throughout 10 years in the biggest outdoor mine of the world, with the actor and co-producer Wagner Moura.
